How was it made? Cindy Chao's Peony Brooch

Discover how jewellery designer Cindy Chao made her spectacular three-dimensional brooch in the shape of a peony flower.

Set with an incredible 3,150 rubies, the dazzling brooch required meticulous engineering to ensure each gem fit within the delicate construction.

In this film, Chao reveals her ten-year-long creative process, the origin of the idea and how it transformed from sketch to glistening, velvety brooch.
